The human body is amazing. I believe our most amazing gift is our hands. Our hands can show compassion, healing, skill, love, gentleness, generosity, joy, sorrow, strength, spirit and peace.
My husband and I have always been fascinated by the beauty and unique nature of hands. How a person uses their hands says so much about them and their situation.
I have often taken photos reflective of our family’s personal journey by taking photos of our hands. These pictures speak a thousand words.
When our children were young we had plaster molds made of their hands. It captures that moment in time. They are part of a treasured display on a special shelf in our home.
Every photo in the attached collage tells a story of love, sorrow, comfort or joy. These are the stories of life.
As a massage therapist and holistic health practitioner, I am fortunate to have given and received therapeutic touch. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to touch other people’s lives.
I am also thankful for the healing hands who have touched my life.
